A 3-year-old boy is admitted to the pediatric ICU after head CT shows a large subdural hematoma. His father reports the child “fell off the bed” earlier today. The child is lethargic and minimally responsive. Examination shows extensive bruising on the buttocks and back in different stages of healing and marked tenderness over both thighs. Skeletal radiographs show bilateral femoral shaft fractures. There is no history of high-impact trauma or known bleeding or bone disorders. What is the most likely diagnosis?
