A 10-year-old child is brought to the clinic for 1 year of recurrent epigastric pain. The pain is burning, worse after meals, and associated with intermittent non-bilious vomiting and retrosternal burning. There is no history of fever, chronic diarrhoea, weight loss, nocturnal symptoms, or perianal disease. On examination, there is mild epigastric tenderness without guarding or organomegaly.
