A 28-year-old man is brought to the ED after a high-speed motor vehicle collision. He is pale and diaphoretic with severe pelvic pain. He remains hypotensive despite 2 L of IV isotonic crystalloids. Pelvic X-ray shows pubic symphysis diastasis with widening of the sacroiliac joints. There is no obvious external bleeding. What is the most appropriate next step in management?
