A 9-year-old boy is evaluated for nighttime bedwetting occurring about three nights per week. He has never been dry at night for more than 6 months. He has no daytime incontinence, urgency, dysuria, constipation, or symptoms of sleep-disordered breathing. He takes no medications and has normal growth and development. Physical examination, including neurologic and lumbosacral examination, is normal. Urinalysis and urine culture are normal. What is the most appropriate next step in management?
