A 9-year-old boy has nighttime bedwetting about three times weekly. He has never been consistently dry at night. He has no daytime frequency, urgency, incontinence, dysuria, or prior urinary tract infections. Bowel habits are regular without constipation. Development and school performance are normal. Physical examination, including focused neurologic and genitourinary exam, is normal. Urinalysis and urine culture are normal. He is embarrassed and requests treatment.
