A 6-week-old male infant is brought to the emergency department for 5 days of progressively worsening, forceful vomiting after every feed. The vomiting is non-bilious and projectile. His parents report fewer wet diapers and poor weight gain over 2 weeks. He appears dehydrated with dry mucous membranes and a sunken fontanelle.
