A 27-year-old G2P0 woman has 6 weeks of amenorrhea and intermittent right lower abdominal pain. Three weeks ago, transvaginal ultrasound showed a right adnexal mass separate from the ovary with no intrauterine gestational sac. She initially chose observation. She has no syncope, shoulder-tip pain, or vaginal bleeding and remains clinically stable. Serial serum β-hCG values have remained approximately unchanged around 3,000 IU/L. She requests definitive treatment. What is the most appropriate next step in management?
