She has feculent drainage from a small opening in her lower midline wound (~350 mL/day) with mild abdominal discomfort. Examination shows no peritoneal signs. CT abdomen/pelvis shows no distal bowel obstruction or intra-abdominal collection. What is the most appropriate initial management?
