A 32-year-old woman (G0P0) was treated 8 months ago for stage II, estrogen receptor–positive breast cancer with breast-conserving surgery and axillary staging, followed by adjuvant chemotherapy and radiotherapy. She is currently taking tamoxifen and has no evidence of disease on follow-up. She and her partner ask when it would be safest to attempt conception.
