Last updated: February 2026
A 2-year-old boy is brought to clinic for evaluation of congenital asymmetry. Since birth, his right arm and leg have been larger than the left. His tongue is enlarged and intermittently interferes with feeding. His parents also note a small, recessed lower jaw. Examination shows right-sided hemihyperplasia, macroglossia, and micrognathia. Growth and neurodevelopment are appropriate for age, with no seizures or developmental regression. The clinician is concerned about a congenital overgrowth condition associated with increased risk of embryonal tumours. What is the most appropriate next step in management?
