A 32-year-old G1P0 woman at 7 weeks’ gestation after in vitro fertilization presents with lower abdominal pain and light vaginal spotting. Transvaginal ultrasound shows an empty uterus and a 4 cm right tubal ectopic pregnancy with fetal cardiac activity. Prior hysterosalpingography demonstrated left tubal occlusion.
