A 3-month-old girl has had noisy breathing since birth. The sound is high-pitched and inspiratory, is louder when lying supine, and improves when placed prone. She feeds well and has appropriate weight gain. There have been no episodes of cyanosis, apnea, or respiratory distress. Examination shows no chest retractions and is otherwise normal.
