A 35-year-old man is brought to the emergency department after a high-speed motor vehicle collision. He is conscious, alert, and oriented. Vital signs: T 36.8 °C, BP 100/70 mmHg, HR 104/min, RR 18/min, SpO2 98% on room air. Primary survey is completed and airway and breathing are intact. On inspection, the right lower limb lies in flexion, adduction, and internal rotation at the hip. There are no open wounds over the hip, and distal pulses are palpable.
